Daniel and Shanta got married at Sacred Mountain Lodge in Noordhoek. It was so colourful and beautiful. I love photographing Hindu weddings. Shanta looked like a true Bollywood star. Her dress and Daniels outift were especially imported from India. Shanta's dress must have weighed 5 kgs. The detail on it was amazing. They had an intimate wedding with close friends and family who flew from all over the world to share in their special day.

Brandon & Roxanne

Brandon and Roxanne were so excited to be getting married, and the only worry Roxanne had was getting to the church on time. Everything ran so smoothly. Roxanne looked so lovely in her lace dress. After the church service we went to the Taal Monument in Paarl. Its a very special place for them as it was the place they had one of their first dates and Brandon also proposed to Roxanne there. So it was very appropriate having the shoot there too. While we were having fun, the guests were having canapes at Simondium Country Lodge.

Boudoir Shoot

Pascaline wanted to book me for her wedding in April but unfortunatly I was already booked for the date, so she booked a session for herself at my studio.

She told me she is not comfortable in front of a camera but the camera definitly says otherwise. She is just gorgeous. I had a lot of fun and I have put up the not so risque photos up on the blog. The rest are for her husbands eyes only.

Pascalines make up was done by the bubbly Marietjie Hurter.

I met Stefan and Talita for the first time a few days before their wedding. They were both so calm and so ready to marry each other. They really didn't fuss to much about the small things. The most important thing to them was they were getting married to each other. It was so lovely being a part of their day.

Engagement Shoot- Simon & Kirsten

I think every couple should have an engagement shoot. They are a great way to get to know your photographer better. They also make you realise photoshoots are fun not scary in any way. Most people are a little bit nervous about photoshoots. Either they think they are unphotogenic or they think they going to be stiff and not know what to do. The engagment shoot gets you to realise none of this is true. And you have some beautiful images that you can incorporate in your wedding.

Simon and Kirsten were naturals. We spent a beautiful sunday morning together and as we finished the session (which we lost complete track of time) it started to pour with rain. Everything had worked out perfectly. Then I got a great compliment, Kirsten asked if we could do this every Sunday!

David & Francesca Part 2

David and Francesca were such a pleasure to photograph. Francesca was so relaxed and took the day in her stride. David on the other hand was a little more emotional. When it came to the photoshoot they told me they were not very good in front of a camera. The photos coming up will show you how wrong they are. They were so easy. It was important to them to spend some time with their guests before they went into their reception but we still had enough time to make the most of the beautiful setting of ChurchHaven. Thank you for trusting me when I asked for the 10 extra minutes at the bird hide. It was so worth it! Dave and Francesca still had lots of time to have canapes and drinks and still got awesome shots. Its so important to chat to your photographer about whats important to you but still give us enough time to work with.

Pieter and Nicole have had a really trying year, so it was lovely that their year is ending on such a beautiful note. Nicole was super photogenic and very relaxed. The team at The 12 Apostles were so effecient, and the weather was perfect with blue skies. Good luck in Canada and I hope these photographs will be a reminder of such a special day.
